The fabric of cryptographic trust

Basejump from evolutionQ

BasejumpQDN

One trust platform for any advanced threat

E-commerce, online banking, cloud computing and critical networks all needed trust before they could create value. That trust rests on cryptographic defenses that have never faced greater threats.

AI is exposing vulnerabilities and enabling novel attacks ona speed and scale never possible before. Cryptographically relevant quantum computers (CRQCs) will break today’s public key cryptography and — combined with AI — usher in new codebreaking capabilities.

Since no one can predict which cybersecurity assumptions will fail next, resilience depends on an architecture that can stay secure no matter what breaks. Basejump provides a fabric of trust that responds to AI-powered threats and streamlines migration to post-quantum cryptography (PQC) and other quantum-safe technologies such as quantum key exchange.

Symmetric key infrastructure modernized for scale and resilience

Basejump delivers cryptographic agility, defense-in-depth and long-term security to every layer of the network stack. It combines ML-KEM or another approved PQC algorithm with pre-shared symmetric keys in an approach recognized by NIST and other authorities as post-quantum secure, providing a straightforward way to meet PQC requirements with resilience built in.
‍
Benefits of the Basejump platform:

  • Deploys today —no rip-and-replace
  • Uses standard interfaces already common in network equipment
  • Provides a single trust fabric – one platform across optical, Ethernet, IPsec, TLS and applications
  • Enables maximum agility, with keys delivered and rotated automatically and centralized plug-ins for new algorithms
  • Provides forward and post-compromise security— each key stays secure as long as a single strand holds
  • Ensures continuity even after cryptographic failure — intact strands keep keys secure and systems running during replacement of a deprecated or broken strand
  • Delivers long-term security — the symmetric key strand keeps recorded traffic secret even if public-key math falls
Basejump provides these guarantees for every protocol instead of requiring one-by-one migrations.

A simplified migration path

The Basejump key management fabric evolves with you as AI accelerates the threat landscape or your needs change:

Migrate seamlessly to PQC
Achieve real cryptographic resilience
Add new trust sources as they mature
Deploy NIST-standard PQC as an overlay to your existing infrastructure.
Ensure no algorithm is a single point of cryptographic failure.
Add future sources of trust such as certified quantum key exchange to make the fabric even stronger.

How the Basejump platform works

The Basejump platform provides an integrated way to manage your quantum-safe key infrastructure across applications and technologies for cryptographic resilience.

  • Basejump Key Agents negotiate end-to-end keys woven from classical ECDH, ML-KEM (or another approved PQC algorithm) and a symmetric secret. They run as an OpenSSL provider, a software VM, containers on network equipment, or on HSM hardware such as the Basejump SEN-500.
  • The Basejump Key Management Infrastructure supports scalable key delivery across protocols and applications for quantum-safe secure connections. When you’re ready to migrate to quantum key exchange, simply add the Basejump Quantum Key Management System.
  • The Basejump Management Console makes it easy to administer keys for large or complex hybrid and quantum key distribution networks.

In the field today

Basejump is already bringing the trust fabric to some of the world’s most critical networks and has been integrated or tested with solutions from network and security vendors including Nokia, Cisco, HPE Juniper Networking, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet and Ciena.

The NATO Innovation Continuum used Basejump to live-switch between hybrid PQC and two quantum key exchange sources on a 100GbE link with no disruption.
