Preparing for the quantum threat at BIRS

22 Apr. 2016

The Banff International Research Station for Mathematical Innovation and Discovery (BIRS) hosted the Quantum Computer Science workshop in Banff, Canada, from 17 to 22 April 2016. Michele Mosca, evolutionQ co-founder, helped to organize this interdisciplinary workshop that brought together experts in quantum computing, programming languages, and compiler design to discuss quantum computer programming and optimizing the use of available quantum computing resources. This work is essential in estimating the magnitude of the threat against currently deployed cryptography.
