The 6th International Conference on Quantum Cryptography, QCrypt 2016, was held in Washington, DC, USA, from 12 to 16 September 2016. Michele Mosca, evolutionQ co-founder, delivered a public lecture at the conference on “Cryptography and Cybersecurity in the Quantum Era" where he discussed the ideas behind quantum cryptography, its impact on science and technology, as well as its applications to society.
QCrypt is an annual academic conference on all aspects of quantum cryptography. QCrypt 2016 was hosted by the Joint Center for Quantum Information and Computer Science (QuICS), a partnership between the University of Maryland and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). It aims to represent the best results of 2016, and to support the community of researchers in quantum cryptography.
