About Us

Our team is led by world-leading scientists, Dr. Michele Mosca and  Dr. Norbert Lütkenhaus, who understand the solutions for the cybersecurity threats you face.

Dr. Michele Mosca

Co-Founder, President and CEO

Dr. Mosca is one of the world's leading scientists in quantum computing, quantum cryptography, and conventional cryptography in an era with quantum technologies. He was a founder of Canada's Institute for Quantum Computing, was a founding Faculty Member of Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics, and co-authored the respected textbook An Introduction to Quantum Computing.

Among Dr. Mosca's accomplishments:

  • Seminal contributions to the development of quantum computer algorithms
  • Pioneered implementations of quantum algorithms using nuclear magnetic resonance

Dr. Norbert Lütkenhaus

Co-Founder, Chief Technology Officer

Dr. Lütkenhaus is a renowned leader in fields spanning quantum communication, quantum cryptography, and the quantum-safe cybersecurity. He is a leader in academia and in the high-tech industry, studying and working in Germany, United Kingdom, Austria, Finland, the United States, and Canada.

Among Dr. Lütkenhaus' accomplishments:

Dr. David Jao

Chief Cryptographer

David Jao is a distinguished cryptographer who completed his PhD at Harvard and worked in the Cryptography and Anti-Piracy Group at Microsoft Research before joining the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo.

He is Director of the Centre for Applied Cryptographic Research (CACR) and leads a large research group in “post-quantum” or quantum-safe cryptography at the University of Waterloo, including the design, cryptanalysis and implementation of a range of post-quantum schemes.

Prof. Jao is also credited with the invention of the supersingular elliptic curve isogenies based scheme for post-quantum public key cryptography.
